About this site

Welcome to Your Grandmother's Sewing Machine Web site! My name is McKenna Linn, and my purpose here is to showcase sewing machines from decades and centuries ago. I have no grand plan to be comprehensive, to conduct scholarly research, or even to be particularly organized here. For that, there are other sites with far more and better resources. I just want to share some of the beautiful and unusual machines that I have had the pleasure to discover, refurbish, play with, and find new homes for. Ultimately, all of my machines must move on. Sewing machines need to be used, and I can't possibly use all the ones that intrigue me enough to save. For me, the greatest pleasure is in the hunt and the fixing up. Thus most of the machine here are for sale, or have been sold. Please contact me for details if you are interested in purchasing one. Physical location of machines is currently Asheville, North Carolina.

Please visit my other Web sites, NecchiLady.com and McKennaLinn.com, to see other machines as well as my fiber art and my background. To contact me via email, click here.
