Singer 99 handcrank conversion

Singer's model 99, a 3/4-size machine, is an excellent candidate for conversion to a handcrank machine. Simply remove the motor, and exchange the handwheel for a larger, heavier spoked one, and bolt the crank to the motor boss. 99s are widely available, not terribly expensive usually; reproduction handwheels and cranks are available from a number of online sources.
