This is the #40 cabinet and bench, in the Chippendale style. It is a very fine piece of furniture.
These were made in walnut and mahogany... my best guess is that this one is mahogany.
The wood is really pretty. The top splits when open, providing storage both left and right of the machine.
The bench has been recovered in very nice leather, and the cushion removes for storage in the bench below.
The detailing is architectural, Chippendale style.
