This is the classic "your grandmother's sewing machine"... a Singer model 66 in a tiger oak treadle cabinet. Singer made more of these than any other machine except the model 15. They were made with a number of different decal sets, from the very ornate, such as this "Lotus" design, to much plainer black machines with simple gold filigree.

This is an early machine, the serial number was issued on August 6, 1907 (#H1550881).

The cabinet is gorgeous, beautifully refinished with wonderful beaded detail on the long center drawer and ornate drawer fronts and sides (see photo of drawer sides in the sidebar at left).

The center drawer is shaped so the machine can fold down into the cabinet.

The machine and the treadle work beautifully. SOLD.
