Singer Model 66 "Red Eye" Treadle

One of the classics! The Red Eye decal set is a riot of color and swirls, and this machine is a beautiful example.

The decals are about 97% perfect, with just a bit of wear in front of the needle, where cloth has passed  over the bed.

Even the decals on the belt guard are good.

I've put a red belt on the machine, to complement the decals colors.

The needleplate is ornate and in beautiful condition...

The handwheel, too, is in excellent condition.

The back is the one place with significant wear on the decals, across the "N" in the word "Singer." Rear inspection plate is very nice, too.

The machine is in a six-drawer treadle cabinet. The treadle operates smoothly, as does the machine; this is an easy treadler.

REtrOpen

This is an ornate cabinet, with fancy drawers and sides.

The center drawer opens for handy storage of small items.

Unfortunately, one of the six drawers is missing, replaced by a mismatched but functional replacement.

The cabinet top has some stains on the left side, but overall it's in great shape for its age. Prettily figured oak.

Of course the machine has been completely cleaned, serviced, and adjusted to make a perfect stitch.

The machine head has been sold; the treadle is available... soon to contain a Sphinx decal model 27.
